Why did you become an individual member? Independent abortion funds are the backbone of this movement and I trust NNAF will lead the resistance in a post-Roe world. I worked for an independent abortion provider and fund I love dearly for years. When my location closed, I became even more dedicated to keeping the organization alive and funding abortion for pregnant people traveling hundreds of miles into and throughout California’s rural north state.

Why is abortion access important to you? Abortion access is one of the most inclusive and intersectional social justice issues. Immigrants get abortions, trans men get abortions, sexual assault survivors get abortions. I want all pregnant people seeking an abortion to feel free and empowered to have one without shame or financial hardship. There’s nothing worse than feeling like your body doesn’t belong to you.
