We serve Women Health Specialists clients, or people calling to come in for services. You do not need to be a previous client or have an appointment to access the Fund. We work with the following three clinic locations:

Call the clinic phone number 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Pacific Time, Monday- Friday, or leave a message with the answering service after hours.

We can provide gas money, bus fare, train fare, cab fare, hotel, motel accommodations, food, childcare funds, and rides, as well as referrals for housing, ACCESS, and health care referrals.

About Women’s Health Specialists – Women in Need Fund

It’s amazing how little women need, but without it, they are unable to get to a reproductive health provider. This is especially true for women in rural America. We are the only abortion provider in a 7 county region in Northern California. Many women have to travel hours to get to our clinic. The Women in Need Fund allows us to provide women with financial help for medical services, transportation, motels, childcare or whatever the women need to be able to come to the clinic.

The clinic assisted 3,073 women in 2014 for birth control, STI and abortion and adoption services.

We have 11 clinic sites. WHS staff are paid. Volunteers organize fundraisers, do outreach and also escort at the clinics.

We’ve sponsored Bowl-a-thons, Taco’s N Beer, Giving Tuesday campaign, and yard sales.
