Instructions
Fund Texas Choice has been forced to pause our work while we evaluate the impact of the June 2022 Supreme Court decision.
If you are a resident of Texas and need help getting to an abortion clinic this fund may be able to help you pay for transportation and a hotel room, if you need to stay overnight for your abortion procedure.
This fund does not pay for the abortion procedure itself but can help refer you to other abortion funds and resources.
To get help from this fund, call (512) 900-8908 and leave a message in English or Spanish. The fund will call you back within 48 hours (usually sooner).
About Fund Texas Choice
Fund Texas Choice was formed in response to HB2, a 2013 Texas state bill explicitly aimed at closing abortion clinics. Even after enormous grassroots mobilization and an epic filibuster by Senator Wendy Davis, the bill passed into law, leaving people across Texas who need abortions to face the consequences.
Given the strength of already-existing Texas abortion funds, the Lilith Fund and the Texas Equal Access Fund, Fund Texas Choice fills a different niche by providing transportation and accommodation to clients, especially as restrictive laws force closures of clinics across the state.
Texas is a big state, and getting around without ample time and money is nearly impossible. With geography such a considerable barrier to access, Fund Texas Choice is committed to helping clients reach the medical care they need.
Fund Texas Choice's Community
Fund Texas Choice is an all-volunteer organization that works closely with the network of abortion funds in Texas to help ensure that anyone who needs an abortion will be able to reach a clinic. Volunteers are committed to helping simplify an unnecessarily complicated process for anyone who needs help.
